This book portrayed a true story about on the lesson about money that the author of this book, learned from his two "dads". One dad, a PhD and Superintendent of Education, never had enough money at the end of the month and died broke. His other dad dropped out of school at age 13 but went on to become one of the wealthiest men in Hawaii. In this book, the author try to explain us how to have your money work for you not work hard for money.
The author of this book is trying to convey here what the rich teach their kids about money but the poor and middle class do not.
I found this book is very very interesting because it's related of how the school system at the time didn't teach the children: How to prepare for the real world? Actually when I related this book with my past (when i was young), it's also related with myself. My parents used to remind me to study hard, get good grades in exam then get secured for a good job with a big company (hope so).
When we went to school and got an excellent education. Will we be getting a high-paying job? I dont think so because when stepped out of the tertiary education (university). Will we be survived? Are you sure you could get a high-paying job? How sure you are? There are so many things waiting for us, to challenge us to overcome the obstacles especially "money". There are many people who work hard just to get more money but instead the money give a "new" problem to them. Look at some people, they make a lot of money but the still can't pay their bills, car installment, credit card/s, utilities and so on. In other word, most people, get more money only get into more debt.
Ignorance about money will lead us to be so greed and so much fear. This is a good example: Lets say a doctor, he wanting more money to better provide his family by raises the fees. So what happened if he raise up the fees? First: the health care become more expensive for everyone especially to poor and middle. It hurts this group. So what you can say about this? Poor and middle people have worse health than those who with more money. Right!!
The author also want to tell there are fear and desire in different class. Fear pushes you out the door, and desire call to you, enticing you toward the rocks which is a trap. What intensifies fear and desire is ignorance. The poor fear about have no money and the rich fear about losing their money.
I think that's all i want to narrate to y'all.
